Of Red Pills

and pseudorealities

What is meant by “the Matrix,” and the “red pill.”

Interestingly, this cult classic film was based on the works of the postmodern philosophers. True to type, as esotericists, they were prone to projection. They believed “the system” was a false creation, an illusion, that was trapping people within their mundane lives. Naturally, they took to describe their own work as utilizing these same rules they misunderstand

to construct their own reality - one free from all the things they disdain.

Well, there’s was based on a fundamental misunderstanding of how the world works. They cannot fathom legitimacy, hierarchy, authority, or natural order, and, in a world-breaking irony, they managed to create exactly the sort of false, illusory world they decried.

So, we appropriate the metaphor. They managed to construct “The Matrix” they thought they were raging against - so, we must take the “red pill,” and see things as they truly are.
