This is a nice piece on part of their linguistic strategy. What you actually say is less important to them as how they can frame what you said. His question- response-accusation is the same type of invalid deductive inferences we see deployed all over social media, mainstream media and most arenas of public discourse. It makes one wonder just what percentage of our population can even have a logically consistent conversation anymore with valid deductive inferences. Mass society has been conditioned so long to believe this type of exchange ( including local newspapers like yours) is a valid form of communication. I know that you understand it is inherently deceptive and that it is a linguistic strategy, but many just think it is normal public discourse. It is just intellectually lazy and is having a generalized dumbing down effect on mass society. ( it was already getting close to idiocracy level) All nuance disappears and give way to framing. I am glad you pointed it out as an example. These small verbal battles matter more than most realize. Language is a battlespace, a fact the Marxists very clearly understand. ( not necessarily this guy though, he is probably just a natural side effect)

Keep up the good work Mike
