Gender Ideology and Transgenderism
We can never abide the pseudo-real. It has the effect of severing our minds from the real, and it opens us up to demoralization. The pseudo-real twists our minds to illogic, and it makes us vulnerable to the paramoral evils of totalitarianism. Accepting these “white lies” is objectively harmful to us, our psyche, and our society. We should be angry about these impositions.
Transgenderism Edition
The phenomenon of transgenderism can be said to represent a failure of the perceived sexual identity of the mind to match the sexual identity of the body as expressed phenotypically. It is fundamental to the position of transgender political ideology that it is the mind that is correct, and the body that is incorrect. The overwhelming majority of cases of transgenderism are nothing to do with atypical sexual genetics, or intersex, which can be entirely ignored for the broader analysis of transgenderism, and transgender ideology.
Neither "man," nor "woman" are social constructs. While there is surely a social component inherent to them as vague concepts they are nonetheless firmly, and firstly moored to biological sex. This is entirely obvious, as for all the circumstances, and in every society, when a man may be said to be "girlish," or a girl may be said to be "mannish," it is said to be such as a departure from the norm that specifically does not alter the underlying gender categorization. This is where the phrase "girly man" comes from. A girlish man is not partly girl, and partly man, nor more man than girl, but decidedly a man that is girly.
This simply falls into the category of a "vague concept." It doesn't have a precise definition because it cannot have one. Very many things fall into this category of poorly constrained definitions. But being a vague concept doesn't make it any less real than a firmly constrained concept. Pornography exists, but I'm not sure I could offer an all-encompassing definition. Even day and night are not perfectly constrained: I can tell you it's night at midnight, and day at noon, and it is night earlier in winter, but I could not tell you when, precisely, it changes with any confidence. But day and night still exist as a binary descriptive of our shared objective reality.
As with everything it is important to consult with reality when we analyze transgenderism, and in reality, it is impossible, given our current medical capabilities, to transform male reproductive organs into female reproductive organs, or vise versa. We lack this ability entirely, and there is no reason to believe with any certainty that we will obtain this ability at any future point.
Current “gender reassignment,” or perhaps even more euphemistically “gender affirming” surgery is little more than the removal of functional sexual organs, and their replacement with what is meant to be a permanent wound with the very rough aesthetic of their opposite, complementary organ. Likewise, breasts may be grown in men through hormone therapy that is generally devastating to the male physiology, or by surgery to remove functional breast tissue from women to achieve a roughly male chest aesthetic.
Viewed through the lens of the real, “affirmation” medical procedures are violative of the medical principle “do no harm.” The overwhelming majority of transgender cases in young people resolve with puberty, mutilatory surgery provides no, or net negative benefit to mental health and prognosis, no noted reduction in the categorically catastrophic rate of suicidal ideation among the transgender, and much of such “scientific” study is so thoroughly corrupted by ideology that it is harmful to our understanding and cannot be utilized.
Transgenderism is a mental health condition not unlike schizophrenia and would still be considered such by modern mental health practitioners if the entire institution wasn't captured by critical theorists and postmodernists determined to make things worse for everyone by obfuscating mental illness while pathologizing healthy behaviors. We accept with all other disorders of bodily identity that it is the mind, and not the body that is to be treated as unwell, and cared for with empathy, and kindness, but never affirmation. To affirm delusion, and break with reality is not kind at all.
Gender, like sex, is immutable, and nearly always the direct, and entirely predictable consequence of genetics that are inherent to our species, and binary in nature. This is reality. There is no distinction for language to make between biology and sociology, and that sociology has attempted to skew this matter through introducing postmodernism doesn't change that fact. One cannot abolish the categories of biological sex, or gender by ascribing nonsense definitions from postmodern deconstructionism to them. That's just not how language works.
Definitions are reasonably settled and nearly static or they fail to be definitions at all. Much like pronouns are not, in fact, toys for people to play with at will, definitions are conventions of language, and things that have been agreed upon for centuries. Changing and obscuring things by applying niche definitions doesn't make the sociological position clever; it makes it fraudulent.
These humanities academics haven't managed nor sought to improve our understanding by introducing nuance. They have sought to obfuscate and undermine understanding of things we understood perfectly from the beginning in order to break normativity through the dialectical process of Hegelian Scientism, and postmodern deconstructionism. They are actually trying to hurt us by weaponizing the “marginalized” mentally unwell in order to bring about the conditions necessary for revolution. You did not read that incorrectly. The entire academic basis for gender bending is the destruction of culture (“aufheben der culture”) seen as a necessary precondition to Communist revolution.
Men are men. Women are women. Trans men are women. Trans women are men. Any failure to affirm these as facts is done from a position of weakness, either intellectually or constitutionally, and not because reality itself has complicated the matter. Gender ideology operates as a cult through emotional hostage taking – it is not reason that holds sway with such ideas. They managed to get us to put up artificial barriers to unapproved knowledge in our own minds. We cannot allow artificial barriers to stand between our minds and reality, or we risk taking dramatically wrong paths that will introduce unnecessary suffering into the world.
