Seize the Party
an Anti-Communist Action
The battle against Communism is now on in earnest. Our punches, however, are not landing with effect. Their, (the Communists), decade after decade effort of counter-hegemonic incrementalism, and countless clicks of “the ratchet,” wrested control of our castle from us years ago. This means they now get to play castle defense. We, however, must lay siege.
Picture our siege as against a castle with high walls and a wide, murky moat. The drawbridge is up. The siege doors are shut and barricaded. The oil is hot, and the archers are poised to rain down hell, but first, we must cross the moat.
Man after man, soldier and officer alike enters the dark, dank waters, but hardly any emerge on the other side. Those that do arise from the waters writhe with madness as they holler about beasts in the deep. These beasts, they say, grabbed them by the feet, by the clothes, and by the hair. They gouged our soldiers’ eyes and clawed at their throats, and as they dragged our dear warriors deeper the beasts cynically yelled “stop,” and whispered, “give up,” as if mocking us as they drowned our nascent siege in its infancy.
On emerging from the waters, and amongst the melee and raining arrows on the far side of the moat, one of our heroic warriors stands to see his commanding officer staring back at him from barely an arm’s length away. He looks up and down this field General, dripping wet and filthy with algae, and wearing a smirk as he blocks the path to the castle.
Our hero looks left and right, and so doing he sees that the entire officer corps is accounted for, but nearly none of the soldiers have made it, and as he then feels the cold steel blade enter his warm abdomen, he hears his General say gently to him “stop.” Now from the ground our soldier looks up to this General still gripping the sword by the handle, and as the officer whispers to him, “give up,” his vision fades, and the very last thing our good hero hears on this earth is “moat beasts are a blessing of liberty.”
As you see you cannot affect a successful siege when your Generals are, for whatever reason, allied to the king of the castle. You cannot strike a blow for America when your field officers are choking the life out of your pikemen while muttering on about “at least it’s not government.” You cannot scale the high rock walls when lacking for the cover of arrows that should be provided by your archers, but your archers are busy self-immolating because their commander exclaimed, “being on fire is very respectable!”
So long the shape of things is thus we will never be able to achieve victory over the Communists. So, first, before we lay siege to the castle, we must go about purging our own ranks, and particularly our leadership, of those who seek to fix all of our actions, plans, and even thoughts well below the threshold of victory. We must first set our sights on those forces conserving conservatism conservatively, those who refuse to see the starkness of our age as marking it out a wartime, and, especially, to those who assert callously that we would do better to lose the war than lose our respectability. We must first capture the Grand Old Party.
In strategizing on such we must recognize several truths. First, we do not have nearly long enough to affect a Progressive-style takeover of the party via counter-hegemonic long-march. We have weeks, months, and, maybe years, not decades and centuries. Second, while those at the top tend to be the most severe obstacles a majority of the GOP is currently aligned with them, ideologically captured to varying degrees by the cult of Woke, and deeply affected by internalized Repressive Tolerance. This means that we must act rapidly, and in such a way that intransigent obstacles are removed, and moveable obstacles shifted to our side.
The left broadly operates on the principle of telegraph first, conquer later. This concept is similar to that of intelligence preparation of the battlefield. They sow the air with the seeds of madness, they allow the cycle of reaction to play out (without ever criticizing their own, mind you), and once the anger has subsided, and the issue forgotten about (as we’ve moved onto newer, even more atrocious ideas), they conquer the ground beneath our feet and reap the harvest. The outcry at the actual war of conquest (as opposed to rhetoric) never quite seems to rise to the level that the scales tip against them – as it would have if they had not gone through the cycle of telegraphing first and waiting out the storm.
Unfortunately, this tactic relies on both near total hegemony of media, and on near perfect fidelity to ideology and fealty to clan. If they had the habit of the GOP in dogpiling their own (whether deserving or not) they would never get away with such things. Likewise, if the media wasn’t fully into a new, unbreakable cycle (almost as if dictated by common strategy) the mass of outrage would certainly rise to criticality.
While we can’t strictly use this strategy to capture the GOP, we can pull a good lesson out of it that is perfectly acceptable – morally, and strategically – in wartime: we must transmogrify Regan’s eleventh commandment, “thou shalt not speak ill of any Republican” to “thou shalt not punch right.” It does us no good at all to dogpile a staunch rightist counter-revolutionary (even if he is in error), and every good under the sun to dogpile the leftist in the red tie and elephant pin. Let me say this very, very clearly: we do not, at this time, need to publicly police the right for being at risk of going too far. That’s simply not a thing that is feasible at this moment as we stand on the brink of defeat. (Note to those who now cry “fascist!” at me that Fascism is a left-wing ideology, and we currently face Fascism this very moment from the left).
I would strongly recommend the adoption of a modified, and precision sharpened version of counter-hegemony and “aufheben der kultur” (“cancel culture”). The objective is to, ultimately, make it literally unthinkable to a Republican to go along with Communists on literally anything at all: no cooperation, no pretend common ground, total domination. Let’s explore how we might get there.
As outlined above we do not have the institutions necessary to run the total-social-war campaign the left wages, so we must look to a form of incrementalism. However, we don’t have the time that the left did when they were in our relative position, as totalitarian, violent governments are not susceptible to counter-hegemonic efforts like liberal ones are, and we are very nearly that: totalitarian. As such the specific increments must be as large a bite as we can chew and chosen carefully to maximum effect.
The first order of business in accomplishing incremental victories is the splitting of the Overton Window along ideological lines. The Overton Window is that box of acceptable social discourse, opinions, and ideas that may not be transgressed on penalty of cancellation, as if surrounded by a moat. This process has already begun, as the right has begun to radicalize (in relative terms) around populism, and cult(s) of personality. The thing now holding it together is the fealty to “respectability” displayed by rightists – especially by those in leadership, both in government and culturally. This respectability is that which says we are not allowed to win, or we have broken the rules. It is enforced by dogpiling, cancelling, reputational damage, loss of access to income, social functions, and soon education, housing, banking, and the public square.
The way forward is narrow and is only achievable through the purposeful transgression of “respectability” en masse: we must cross those red lines upheld by both the left and the establishment right wearing a smirk and a one-fingered salute. Through the unapologetic adoption of not merely “conservative,” but counter-revolutionary values publicly, loudly, and with the zeal of the righteous, by the refusal to apologize for transgressions of values that are not our own (and, hence, the cuckolding of our own minds), and via the refusal to back down at any cost, while exercising the sort of public moral authority against our persecutors that rallies masses to our cause, we win. This is how we break the glass box of respectability, split the Overton Window, and it must be the minimum standard for GOP representatives and cultural figures going forward. We must speak to these representatives in one voice, “transgress their values publicly or we come for you next.”
Those who refuse this task out themselves as sympathizers with the Communists and deserve every bit of powder we can muster. Even in the absence of institutional control, big-dollar funders, and NGO’s we still have one powerful tool at our disposal: ruthless criticism. If you’ve not the stomach for that then I suggest you take a look at this, swallow a couple raw eggs, stick your finger in your belly-button and yell “snake” to startle your testes out of your pelvic girdle long enough to find a pair. Those authorities who do nothing in the face of evil are not innocent bystanders, they are collaborators, and they deserve to be scorned and held accountable as such. Yes, this means cancelling Republicans that fail to meet these standards. No, there’s nothing wrong with that. Cancelling is good when we do it and bad when they do it and it unironically is that simple.
In order to affect this first series of cancellations it should be planned to target specific easy-target representatives on overwhelmingly popular issues. The issue is advanced either by legislation, or otherwise publicly, the vulnerable target is baited (by call-out if necessary) to make public their stance, and the matter itself then becomes elevated by the fixing, and polarization of the target with an eye towards utmost damage. Do so incrementally, and aware of bites too large to chew. Yes, start out with a demand to apologize to his constituents for failing them on a critical matter on moral terms aligning with counter-revolutionary values. But do not accept his apology when offered. Use the apology as leverage and proof of guilt to now demand investigations and resignation in disgrace. Increase the moral outrage at every step to keep in-group public sentiment on our side. If he escapes cancellation: fine, we’ll do it again, and again, and again, and again until his numbers reflect his character.
Once accomplished, and the critical mass of GOP has publicly transgressed Progressive values, the glass box will be broken, and the Overton Window will have split fully into a leftist, and a rightist culture. the next phase is to begin to (quickly) form the set of values considered adequately “rightist,” and begin the work of purging out the set that does not, under current circumstances, comfortably exceed the threshold of victory in this war. The Constitution, Bill of Rights, but more than anything the Declaration of Independence should guide us on this path of values formation. The Declaration should take primacy for it is a wartime document, and this is, in fact, wartime. Now we lay siege to the GOP.
